Focus on God’s will

In March of last year I joined the first CTWG. God told me at that time if I committed my time to Him for 30 days, I would see my life change. He said He would work a miracle in my life because my husband wasn’t attending church with me and I was very sad about that. Many ladies at Life told me to stay strong, hang in there, pray and have faith.  I remember Minister Michelle told me during the Dangerous Women Conference, “God wants your husband and daughter in the church more than you do.”

The year came and gone. The week before Mother’s Day weekend, my husband turned to me and said he made a promise to God to come back to church.  In my heart I was jumping up and down for joy. He came with me to church yesterday on Mother’s Day along with our two children.

Your words will do the work

Love is....never giving up on others. Think about it. In our self-centered society, how refreshing it is when someone refuses to give up on someone. Isn't that what Jesus did for us? He went the distance because He loves us- we can do the same for others.

One thing we can do in those dark times when we're tempted to give up on someone, is to speak positive words over them. That's exactly what my mother and sister did in one of the darkest moments of my life.  They refused to be moved by my rebellion and  kept saying, "Dino will preach the gospel!"  It looks like their words worked! Yours will too!

Join us this month in our love is series. Let's take love to a whole new level. Let's have the reputation as a church that flat out refuses to give up on people!

The deadline to sign up and pay $20 deposit for Transformed Kid’s Summer Camp is June 17th. After that the price goes up $10 a week:

SHIPWRECKED: Summer Fun for Kids!

Did your kids enjoy Wet Wednesdays last summer?

Maybe they missed it but heard all about it from their friends?

Well do they like getting soaked, eating fun food, and having a great times with friends? We thought so!

They won’t want to miss “Shipwrecked” this Summer on Wednesday nights, July 11 – August 29th!

Each night will have fun beach themed snacks like “octadogs”, “sand pail” pudding, “ocean fun” cupcakes, “fish bait” mix and more.

We will also have great beach themed games and activities every week, like beach relays, sand castle competitions, miniature sail boat racing and more!

But that’s not all!

Each week they will have lessons from the life and journeys of the Apostle Paul:

  • Giving second chances
  • Encouraging others
  • Having a good attitude
  • Putting others first
  • Giving God credit
  • Choosing good friends
  • Being proud to be a Christian
  • Sharing the good news with others.

Plus rocking worship as usual! All this and more… FREE! Kids are encouraged to come dressed in beach attire and bring a towel each week!

A life centered on truth

Going on the offensive. Yes...that's what we learned  on Sunday. We can go on the offensive in life and not be ripped off any longer.

The starting point is to make sure our life is centered on the truth of Jesus' finished work. He became the last sacrifice. The truth is Jesus paid the price for our total forgiveness. Hebrews 10:17 says, " their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more." This is the truth we base our whole new testament life on.  Think about it. We no longer have to guess if God is for us. We are totally accepted, totally loved, totally forgiven, nothing can change it. To accept anything less is to be ripped off!

Launch out now. Go on the offensive in the authority Jesus gave us! You are fearless. You are more than a conqueror. You can do all things through Christ!

Healing is for today!

My husband and I have a praise report to share with you…

Our 9-month old son was experiencing pain around his rib cage under his arms. Whenever he was picked up he would grimace and cry in pain. He also developed thrush in his mouth and had pain when eating. We brought him up to the altar to be prayed for after the Good Friday service. My husband and I also continued to pray for him and believe for his healing. By Sunday afternoon, all of the pain under his arms as well as the thrush in his mouth was gone… without doctors or medication

Since coming to Life Christian Church, my thinking about God has changed so much. I grew up in church and knew that God could heal..but only recently have I begun to get a revelation that God WILL heal and wants to heal ME. I love coming to church and I listen to the messages over and over during the week. The message of God’s grace is making a difference… I can feel it.

We prayed that God would help us find a church that preaches the message of grace, and Life Christian Church is an answer to our prayer.

Whatever!

You don't have to be ripped off! What a time we are having in this series. Jesus has given us His authority here on earth and the devil doesn't have to steal from you anymore.

Let's keep an eye on "whatever" in our lives. You know that attitude that says, "I don't have to listen to you." Friends, nothing gets in the way of spiritual progress more than "whatever."  The Bible has a solution when we find ourselves in a harsh situation. It says, "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men (Colossians 3:23)." So when someone sets you off and you are tempted to say "whatever," "whatever your whatever!" In other words, say to the hurt, "whatever"...you are not going to rob me of my blessing!"  Say to that voice in your head, "whatever," this is not going to steal my peace. I'm going to continue with the Lord and not be ripped off!"

We love you so much. It's such a joy to see you rising above the circumstance and tasting the wonderful life Jesus has for you.

God has called us to enjoy life!

Are you enjoying life?

Are you living the joyful life Jesus came to give us?  Are you living at peace with yourself. If the answer is no....you don't have to be ripped off any longer.

We discovered on Sunday that we really are seated in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).  Meaning, it's time to see ourselves from God's spiritual standpoint. We're seated and resting now. We don't have to strive or stress in our walk now. Jesus gave us the right to sit there (John 1:12). So take advantage of it. Why be ripped off ever again!

It brings me great joy to hear all of your testimonies. Keep sending them in. God is doing some awesome things at Life. And I look forward to seeing you Wednesday night in Troy as we learn how to walk by faith and not by sight!

We Can Stop the Enemy!

A Life With More Than Enough

No one likes the feeling of having something stolen from them. We learned on Sunday that we can stop the enemy from stealing from us. Jesus restored our authority over all the works of darkness (Luke 10:19). We don't have to accept satan's junk anymore!

Get this message in you. It will be life changing. We want you to be equipped to enjoy the wonderful life Jesus paid to give you.  This Sunday we're going to show you what it means to be seated in heavenly places.

Is there anything In your life that has been stolen? Is it your health? Family? Peace? You don't have to be ripped off anymore!

To see you prosper is one of the greatest joys of my life. I love you dearly.
