Kidney Healed Testimony

Life Christian HealingI was diagnosed with kidney stones a few months ago. One of the stones was almost a half inch long and the doctor told me it would not pass.  She said we could wait and see if it moved or if it started to cause pain before we dealt with it, so I didn’t think about it for quite a while. About a month ago, I started to feel pain again.  If you’ve ever had kidney stones, you know what I mean about PAIN!  I had this pain in my right side for about 3 weeks and it was getting pretty severe.

I was about to make an appointment to have the large kidney stone blasted and broken into small enough pieces to be able to pass them, or if that didn’t work… surgery.  On a Thursday at the church office, one of the ladies prayed over me for the stone to dissolve.  I felt a little better, but there was still pain.  At dress rehearsal for Easter, two women prayed over me again because the pain was getting worse again.

Easter morning in the service Pastor Tracy said to stand if you needed a healing.  I stood up.  She said there was someone with a kidney issue that they had been praying for.  I knew it was me! She saw me raise my hand and said to me that I was completely healed in Jesus’ name. By the time I went outside to the event we had that day, I realized that the pain was completely gone.  Thank you Jesus!  I have experienced many healings since coming to Life Christian. I know now that it is because God does not want me to be sick, but in excellent health (John 10:10).  I was not taught that in previous churches.  I thank God for this church and for being taught the truth that is in the Word!

May uLOVE Outreach – Detroit Children’s Hospital

uLOVE Outreach

This morning Urgency students and leaders from all three Michigan campuses came together to for uLOVE.  Students spent time learning abut the Detroit Children Hospital.  They spent time in small groups praying for the children, families, and workers that spend time at the Children Hospital.

Students prepared over 50 bags to send to the hospital that were full of new toys, crayons, books, dads, blankets, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, bandaids, and more!

Students also created their own beaded toys to send to a child at the hospital.  They also made bracelets to wear to remind them to pray for the children at the hospital this month!

After I dropped off the nearly 100 bags of supplies and toys Deanna Scanlon CTRS (Child Life Projects Specialist) expressed her gratitude for the generosity of Urgency and Life Christian Church.  she mentioned that the supplies that came in were perfect timing.  She had given out her last bottle of shampoo the previous day, and we arrived with an entire bag of just shampoo for her.  The items in greatest need were shampoo, deodorant, crayons, and toys.  All these things were in every bag, as well as dozens of extra shampoo, deodorant, crayons and toys.

The Detroit Children’s hospital was extremely grateful for the contributions of uLOVE!

Gratefulness is the cure to anger

Have you ever gone down the should have, would have, could have road? We've all done it.

Allowing ourselves to entertain these thoughts can get us angry and can drive us towards a bad ending.   But God wants to give us an alternate ending!

God loves us based on His love for Jesus, not based on our actions.  Meditating on the love of God will give us an alternate ending. God promises that He has good plans for us and desires for us to prosper in EVERY area of our lives.

The cure to the anger problem begins with gratefulness. Find something to be grateful about today.

Pray this out loud:
Father I thank you that I'm saved. I thank you for the life you've given me. I thank you for my family. I thank you for my home, my job. I thank you for waking me up this morning and loving me beyond measure. I believe TODAY you are perfecting all that concerns me because YOU love ME.

I love you and make it a great week.

There is power in love!

Love is...the most powerful force in the universe.  We've learned in this series that love is the foundation to true happiness. God's will is for you to be happy. Happiness isn't getting our way all the time.

Let 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 be your measuring stick.  If you're falling short in one area, make the simple adjustment and stay happy.

I want to encourage you to continue this love walk. It never fails. It goes the distance. It never gives up on people. Let's continue this love walk
revolution and reach out to the world. Jesus said they (the world) would know us by our love.

Join us tonight at 7pm, to hear founding Pastor and my mom, Pastor Sarah Marie Gardner speak! Make it a great week!

PS. Don't forget Frank Tanana this week, as we celebrate Father's Day this Sunday.
