An Unexpected Character in God’s Hall of Faith
In this week’s message in the Hero series, we talked about a woman named Rahab. Although she was a harlot, get this; she ended up in God’s “Hall of Faith!”
Rahab and all of Jericho had been hearing about the God of Israel. So when faced with a decision to hide the Israelite spies or to expose them to the king’s guards, she covered for them and sent the guards on a wild goose chase.
In exchange for this act of kindness, the spies agreed to save Rahab and her family. She had to take the men of God at their word. Think about it. All she had were the words from men she never met before, who served a God she didn’t know! Talk about Faith!
Rahab was an unbeliever. She didn’t even know God like you and I do, yet she chose to believe the words of those men. We can be like Rahab and believe Gods word too.
People may have judged Rahab for her moral failure, but God judged her for her faith. Rahab is an example of an everyday person who trusted God. She was a true biblical HERO.
I want to encourage you today to make the decision to believe what God says about you in His word. We are believers, we have the seed of God on the inside of us (1 John 3:9) – We are God’s Heroes!
Don’t miss this Wednesday as we hear from my mom, Pastor Sarah Marie and Pastor Dan as they will be tag teaming to bring a powerful word from God.

Wednesday Night Healing
After my kids and I had dinner together before church, I looked down and noticed these spots on my hand. They were bumpy and there were several of them and they looked so gross. I thought I had touched something I was allergic to or something.
My sons laid hands on me in the car, but they were still there. They were only on the right hand. I walked into service at the end of praise and worship and just entered into the presence of God.
Pastor Tracy had a word of knowledge about someone who had spots, she saw several brown spots. I knew that was me and God had healed me. I looked at my hand and the spots were all gone!
Jesus is very much alive and still healing today. The prophet Isaiah wrote “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5
Real help…for real estate!
I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I closed on our condo today with the help of-the amazing real estate agent! We could not be more thrilled with the outcome as we have been able to sell our home and be forgiven for the total remaining balance of our home. I just wanted to share this testimony with you all as you have all played a part in this mighty miracle that God has given us.
In November, I sat in the conference room, at LCC, and I felt God speaking to me about my lack of faith. I felt God say to me, “Is nothing impossible for me?” I thought about it and recognized that my faith has been lacking for a while. I felt God instruct me to make a list of “Impossible things”. The first item I wrote was “Selling our condo and being able to get the house that we want to raise our family in.” I wrote it down and started with small-mustard seed-faith, that maybe He could do something with the situation. A week later, we had met up with one of the pastors and were recommended to a real estate agent from the church. Immediately the agent got everything in motion for the sale of our home and the purchase of our new home. She only spoke faith throughout the entire ordeal. She claimed our home in Jesus name, she would not let us say “if the short sale goes through” but instead, “when the short sale goes through”. We were stretched in our faith like never before. I prayed for a smooth process and for the short sale to go as quickly as possible. I will never forget the call from the agent when she said that the 1st day that the mortgage company was able to make a decision on the short sale – they immediately approved it!
Thank you all, once again, for being open to God’s leading and discussing our home situation with us. Thank you also for referring us to such a great real estate agent. I just thought I would pass this testimony along to stir your faith as well!
Thank You and God Bless!
