A 12 year old girl attending Illness Recovery has had asthma really bad her whole life. She couldn't play outside or do any sports. Her mom started bringing her to IR and she started improving immediately. Within a couple of weeks she was off oral meds, and only taking an occasional breathing treatment (this used to be very consistent). She went to a week long school camp and only needed one breathing treatment the whole week. She just went out for track and is running the 5 mile!
| Yes it’s true, Jesus came to rescue us. In the first week of this series, we discovered we are healed by the stripes of Jesus.Something so awesome happened. In that service God healed a woman’s ear miraculously.This week we learned how to reign in this life. Jesus rescued us from a powerless life. We really are called to live above and not beneath circumstances.

Here’s a note I got from one of the family at Life Christian Church: Two of the people I prayed for last night had instant changes!!! Praise God! One had a lump on the back of his head which immediately got smaller and the other I told to walk around (I prayed for his leg) and after the meeting he said it was looser and he could actually straighten it all the way! PRAISE JESUS! Wanted to make sure you knew!
God is doing some amazing things here at Life!
I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism at age 8. I was told that I would have to take medication for the rest of my life. The medication helped some, but I still had symptoms of my thyroid being off. So, as I got older I would tell the doctors but they wouldn’t listen. They would say that it was within range, but my body told me otherwise. So, I started looking into it and found different medications, side-effects of the medications, and symptoms of it being off. I was not sure what to do, none of the options seemed to be the answer that I was looking for. So, I started to pray. I prayed one day and told the Lord, “God I know that this is not how you created me to be. Your Word says that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Lord, I don’t know what to do with this. I know that you can heal. It is Your will to heal me. Just show me what to do.” Then truthfully I kind of forgot about it. Then, one Sunday morning I was in church just singing and praising God during the worship music. When God told me to pray. He said, “Pray for a release of strongholds, victory, peace, healing, and restoration.” He then told me to pray it for His church. So, I did. However, I was just thinking spiritual. I had no idea what was truly happening.
So, another two weeks or so went by, and then one night I was in my room sitting on my bed reading the Bible, praying, and just spending time with God when He spoke to me again. This time it seemed stern. He said, “Didn’t I tell you to pray for a release of strongholds, victory, peace, healing, and restoration?” I said yes, God. I did.” I was confused. He said, “I want to heal you. So, pray.” I felt such a spirit of conviction and love come over me. I had forgotten my prayer, but God had not! At the same time that this feeling came over me, He brought to my remembrance my prayer from awhile back. I just said, “God I am so sorry I have forgotten what I asked.” So, I prayed, “In the name of Jesus for a release of strongholds, victory, peace, healing and restoration in my mind, body, soul, and spirit, in Jesus’ name, Amen!” He said, “Now walk by faith.” For me I felt convicted to only trust and lean on God only and not my medication. So, I flushed it down the drain. I came back into my room and prayed. He said, “See it is not my will that you be this way. It is My will to heal that and make you whole! Do you trust me!” I said, “Lord just as the man who went to You to heal his son said, ‘I believe, but help my unbelief.’ because the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. My spirit says, ‘I know You can.’ But my flesh says, ‘but will You.’ Even my Faith is a gift from You, Lord. Increase my faith. You are my strength when I am weak.”
Some people worried and wanted me to get blood work done to test and make sure I was ok. I did not want to get tested from out of doubt and fear, but rather as a testimony. I prayed that when the time was right that God would show me. About a year or more later, I had gotten so use to not taking medication and I was feeling good that I almost forgot about it. It came up and I got it tested. I got my blood work back and read that I was in normal range and that there was “no need for medication!” I had proof of what God had done in my body and my life! I was and am healed!!! Praise God! I was so happy I screamed, and then called and shared the praise report! God is so good!
“Surely they may forget, but I will not forget you!” Isaiah 49:15
God is bigger than the problem! 
God is FOR you! Many of us have been taught that God brings bad things like sickness or lack to teach us something. I’m here to tell you that God is for your success. He is for our personal victory, protection, prosperity, healing and breakthrough.
Romans 8:31-32 says it clearly.
Understanding this simple principle, God is for you, not against you, will enable you to live fearlessly. Knowing God is on your side, you can face whatever comes your way today with confidence. The Bible says RESIST the devil and he will flee. Our job is to stand up to the devil’s lies and stand for truth.
To gain victory over any thought that comes that makes you think that God is not for you, we just need to say, “God is for me, who can be against me? I’m not receiving those thoughts any longer. I’m loved, I’m accepted, God is for me.” Peace and confidence will return to you and victory will be the result. Let this song encourage you: Beka Stork singing “You are for me.”

After my kids and I had dinner together before church, I looked down and noticed these spots on my hand. They were bumpy and there were several of them and they looked so gross. I thought I had touched something I was allergic to or something.
My sons laid hands on me in the car, but they were still there. They were only on the right hand. I walked into service at the end of praise and worship and just entered into the presence of God.
Pastor Tracy had a word of knowledge about someone who had spots, she saw several brown spots. I knew that was me and God had healed me. I looked at my hand and the spots were all gone!
Jesus is very much alive and still healing today. The prophet Isaiah wrote “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5
Last February, when I saw the Cardiologist, he explained to me that he would want a test done in May to see if there has been any improvement in my heart function. He said he hoped to see 100% improvement and then went on to explain that what that means is….” The left side of your heart is only working at 30% function. If we see it go up to 60% function that is considered 100% improvement. So, last week I went and had my echo-cardiogram done like he asked, and today I find out that not only did I have 100% improvement, but my heart is functioning absolutely normally!!
AS IF NOTHING EVER HAPPENED!!
God is so good!!!!!!!!!!

On Wednesday, I was doing media for service. My knees were aching and as I was running around trying to figure out how to turn on the screen and computer (yea I’m a guy and didn’t read the directions Pastor Mary had given me the week before) which took me to the youth center to talk to the leader of tech…up and down the stairs, I went. A few times I was thinking to myself, “Ok, I’m 52 years old and replacement knees last about 20 years, so I should be ok. I will be able to tolerate the arthritus that my doctor says I have for another few years which takes me into my 70′s maybe 80.”
Totally receiving it! Well during Pastor Dino’s message and prayer I was prompted to lay my hands on my knees and reject arthitus! Yea, yea, yea, you already know the answer…knees felt fine and still do! Hmmmmmmm, thinking I am going to learn how to do the macerena. Thank you for being the conduit of the Holy Spirit that I needed!
I have been struggling with cysts on my ovaries for years and they caused pain and discomfort. One night at church Pastor Mike was teaching on healing and he had an alter call for those who needed healing in their bodies and I knew he was talking to me. I went up there believing the word of God and ready to receive my healing. He prayed over me as well as the congregation and I felt this wave of energy go through my body and I knew right then I was healed.
I had my physical the next day and my doctor ordered the ultrasound as normal and when he got the results back my cysts on my ovaries were gone they were no longer there. In the middle of the doctors office I said thank you Jesus and praise you God for my healing and called Pastor Yvonne right away to tell her.
Well my husband and I have been trying to have a baby so I asked my doctor to point me in the right direction because it has been two years and we still weren’t pregnant. So my doctor referred me to a woman’s health care specialist to take a look at my labs and tests to see what he thought. When I went for my appointment he told me that the endometrial ling of my uterus was measuring larger than what it was supposed to and he wanted to do a biopsy on the tissue to see if there are any red flags we should be concerned with.
At this point I was getting nervous and scared and I called my pastors and told her what was going on, and they asked to me, “what are you believing for?” I told her that this is going to help me, so I can have a baby and she said that is what we are going to pray for, and we did. So a week later I went back for my biopsy and he got the sample he needed to be tested and said it would be a week for my results to come back but he was speaking the worst and told me he was testing it for endometrial and uterine cancer. I was like “ok so that’s the way you tell me”, but I told him that I prayed on it and I know i’m alright. So a week later, I went in for my results and he told me that my tissue came back with complex hyperplasia with a typia. I didn’t know what that meant…good or bad, what?! He had this concerned look on his face and drew me out a time line and said that this is the phase right before cancer. I only took it from one spot so that doesn’t mean that it is not in another spot of your uterus, he said. I started crying and he said he wanted me in for surgery on that Tuesday. I was nervous and said are you sure that I have to have surgery and he said do you want to see your son turn ten and I said yeah. He said then you have to have this surgery or you won’t make it until then.
I called the pastors right away and they started praying with me on my way home. I asked her if they would come and be my support and they did. Then, I let my husband know when he got home from work and then my family. Finally, it was surgery day and everyone came to support me. I was scared and nervous but after we prayed I was really calm and ready to get this over and done with. After surgery when I woke up the doctor told me that he found a polyp on my uterus and he said the texture of it was a sure sign of cancer. We would know more in a week. I told him that I believe that I am healed and that it was not cancer and he looked at me and then smiled and walked away. When I finally got the results in it was not cancer! My God is an AWESOME GOD!!!! I received a supernatural healing and I just wanted to share that with you.
We all need a church that will stand with us in faith…Life Christian Church does that!
