Our daughter had surgery in September (her fifth surgery) and received a new ear drum. We were told after her ear drum surgery that she would have to have further surgery to rebuild the bones in her ears after her ear drum was healed (possibly in April). He told me, at that time, that she had a very sick ear and to keep praying (yes the doctor told me to keep praying).
After the surgery, we came to church that Sunday, and Pastor Marie laid hands on our daughter. That night when I tucked her into bed and started to pray for her, she told me “Mommy, I’m already healed”. So we thanked the Lord for the healing! My little girl knew that she was healed, but I needed to believe that and stand on that. We’ve been believing that there will be no more surgeries and that our daughter is healed.
She went to the ear specialist today. The doctor said her ear drum is healed, and her hearing is normal! And there was no mention of any more surgeries. She doesn’t have to come back until August, and that’s for follow-up hearing tests. Praise God!!! God has answered our prayers! We have an awesome God!
I have been going to church since I was a little girl, and thought I had a good life and that I knew God. My brother passed away from cancer, and two years later, my sister passed away from cancer and then three years ago my father passed away from Lou Gherrit’s disease. I stopped going to church, I was mad at God and I didn’t want anything to do with God.
Then one Saturday God said, you are doing all you can to not disappoint your daddy and your daddy is not the one that can get you in heaven. I went to my daughter and said I think it’s time to go back to church.
She started to come to Life with a friend and wanted me to try the church out. I felt at home immediately. Since coming to this church I have learned so much, I know to give my problems to God and not take them back. He has them, I know it’s being taken care of.
I am responsible for intervention for all of the students that are not learning for whatever the reason. I work with over 100 students, and consult with parents and teachers for many more. I am also a key person in our school for school improvement, including improving state test scores. Since my salvation 6 years ago, I thought I had completely surrendered every area of my life to the Lord, but last year I realized that I was hanging onto control of my job. And it wasn’t going well. I was putting in so very much effort, and not happy with the results I was seeing. I was tired and discouraged.
Over the summer, I spent a lot of time in prayer about this. God revealed to me that my common prayer, “Lord, help me to get this work done. Give me short cuts. Multiply my time” was NOT a prayer of trust and of faith. I changed my speaking about my job. I finally truly entrusted God with this part of my life. I prayed, “Father, you have called me to be a teacher. I entrust this calling to You. I need Your anointing, Your wisdom, Your direction. I’m not going to try to figure it all out.”
Now here’s the beginning of my testimony! Just see what God has done!
I am simply in awe of how God has taken my job this year, and completely turned it around! I have this deep knowing in my spirit that I am truly helping the kids in a way that I’ve never done before, in 8 years as a learning consultant! Praise God!
And thank you Jesus for the Word of God that I’m being taught at Life Christian Church!
About six weeks ago, Pastor Marie was speaking at a More Service and gave each of us the instruction to write down on a sheet of paper a declaration about an area in our lives that we wanted to see change in. She then told us to speak that declaration over ourselves. That night I went home, wrote down my declaration and started speaking it over myself every night for the past six weeks.
During that time, I went back to work at Art Van and in the first two weeks of being there, I sold $50,000 and this month I sold $100,000 worth of merchandise.
As I looked at my success, I totally attribute it to the declarations that I had been speaking over myself for these past weeks. I will continue on in declaring and continue on in receiving all that God has for me!

Recently, I requested that Pastor Marie pray for an extension for my job. I had been told earlier that my position would be extended until December but then was told that it would be only until early summer.
After prayer, Pastor Marie said ‘you will come and testify here saying that your job was extended’. As it turns out my managers were waiting for a project to come, so they might retain me. I praise our Almighty Lord Jesus Christ for extending my job.
