Who Should Attend?

LBI is not only for those who feel called into the ministry but it is for anyone who has a desire to have a greater understanding of God’s Word. The purpose of these intense courses of study is to enable believers to live successfully in every area of life and empower them with God’s Word to reach others.

Two Academic Levels

Academic: Required to complete attendance, assignments, and exams.

Audit: Not required to complete any assignments, reading or exams.
However, must comply with attendance policy.

Classes

Classes available:

Troy – Monday Nights
Howell – Monday Nights
New Baltimore – Thursday Nights

Tuition

Tuition payments must be received by the LBI office at the beginning of each year. This year classes begin on September 10th. Please note tuition does not include text books.

Orientation

Orientation is mandatory for all students. It will be held on Sunday August 26th at the Troy Campus.

Lifting the Veil

Recently when Pastor Tracy was teaching on Paul, I could only describe it in one word “awesome.” The Holy Spirit was speaking loud and clear. This is a testimony speaking of the veils. I talk to people now and then about this because it has such a big impact on me.

If we may, we’ll go back to January 2011, at my dad’s funeral. Pastor Tracy and Pastor Mary Stork came to the funeral home to comfort me and my sister Patricia. We really appreciated both of them. I never really got to say thank you. But here’s the awesome part, we didn’t know at the time that they were bringing along the Holy Spirit. When they both left, I don’t know when exactly, but a veil was lifted from me as clearly as when a person takes off a shirt over their head and then there’s light!

To this day I’m still not exactly sure what happened! But, I have been a different man ever since. I’m a new creation, glory to God! I could go on and on. Sometimes my sister calls me ramblin’ Robbie, in love. But I thought that I should share this since Pastor Tracy spoke so clearly about the veil. I mean the Holy Spirit spoke so clearly, I hear Him often, me and my sister both hear him often clear as day-at church, anywhere, and everywhere.

Dangerous Women Conference

“I think about the Disciples.  They were regular men with various backgrounds.  All of which influenced their personalities.  Yet after walking with Jesus for only 3 years they began to change:  They became world changers!  Jesus had such an influence on them that their lives were never the same.

That is what this conference is about.  Discovering what is influencing us.  Let us set aside this weekend to soak in the transforming presence of Jesus.  Allowing ourselves to be influenced by Him.  So we can go and influence others for Christ.”

Pastor Tracy Boyd

Pastor Tracy Boyd is currently co-pastoring at the main campus in Troy MI as well as the Naples, FL campus  of Life Christian Church (LCC).  She and her husband, James, are the proud parents of three beautiful girls.  She has spearheaded the development of the worship and arts department, parenting classes, marriage classes, and children’s ministries. Pastor Tracy is actively involved in the teaching ministry at LCC.  She has a way of taking the dynamic truths of the scripture, coupled with her life experience, into a relevant application to everyday life.  She is passionate about sharing her methods of success with others, believing that God is not a respecter of persons and can do the same for you.
